Memory is the unfair advantage the low have.

It preserves the intensity of the negatives encountered in a narrative destined to shape the future, both as a warning and as a self-preservation mechanism.

Yet, the highs don’t have that leverage. They tend to dissipate in memory much faster. Living on the edges and barely ever remembered.

We honor our experience on a broken system that, while we might acknowledge its existence, we rarely understand its impact.

So, Memory, huh? What ought you be?

Not to kill me with your warnings, but rather to build me with your warmth?
