Yes, you do, but does that matter
Absolutely no question about it, but really, does it
Somehow yes, but somewhat no
You deserve it no less than anyone else
No more than everyone’s tells
How come that came to play
Where is it housed, or who called it to stay
No one knows
No one grows
Everyone deserves it, and so do you
So don’t sweat it, for it’s not worth it
Rest in peace or pieces
Whichever works best
Yes, you deserve it if you can serve it
A dish cold on a winter sold
With no receipt to return
Nor a wish to be turned
From undeserving to serving
Or what is deserving
Who knows, what knows
God forbid the silence bids
And the winner loses in the voice of boos
In the face of a humility not justified
The cause blows the pause
And the sacred sets aflame the hoes
For the price is high
And the night is young to be so fricken deserving.
Deserving — they say.
Until the next ❤️ beat ~.~.~
“Me…I deserve it! Oh wait, there is no me, dang. Never mind.” (pun intended) 🙏
Beautiful poetry!
