No hidden agendas.
No ulterior motives.
No dishonesty.
So if a thing, an entity, a person is…
Transparent about intention.
Direct about goals.
Bluntly honest.
Do we trust it? Is that enough?
By that logic your brain is saying yes absolutely. The thing, entity, person is trustworthy.
Consider this: a colleague comes at you saying I will take your job, my purpose is to replace you.
Would you trust them?
They are bluntly honest, goals crystal clear, and completely transparent about their intentions.
Probably not. Why because it’s malicious, negative or evil sort of speak. It’s taking something from you. But is it?
Fine. Assuming the language was less offensive.
They come at you saying I believe this not the right job for you, my purpose is to replace you.
Would you trust them now?
Depends do you already know what’s better for you? Can you see the other job? Can you recognize your own capabilities?
Not so simple anymore this trust thing… and the reason is simple so long you are negotiating with the faculties of the mind on trust you will always lose.
Mind you not the other peddlers in this experience:
Rational assessment of honesty
Emotional response to intention
Alignment of interests
Power dynamics
Past experiences and context
Alternatively, if you get rid of the justifications and the shenanigans your mind want to play and see trust as the outcome of being authentic and true to yourself then non of the latter matters.
Be authentic and trust is there waiting for you.
Until the next ❤️ beat ~.~.~
