God forbid someone…
~. Disrespects your time
~. Disrespects your thoughts
~. Disrespects YOU… whatever that means
The sensation that your sanctity has been violated somehow. That your being had been diminished. That somehow you became less.
The frustration will rise as a response. The anger will boil in reaction.
The fragile and insecure self-worth construct will take a hit, no matter
Yet, what is really being disrespected?
Is it your intelligence?
Is it your agency?
Is it your way?
hmm…
Can you be any less than you are?
Can anyone really make you so?
I wonder if you would ever want the answer to be yes…
Your ego either way is engaged, and it can’t be any other way; that’s not the point.
The difference, if I can even call it that, is to see the absurdity in this conundrum in the first place.
To recognize the commotion as nothing more than an ego insecure of its presence, struggling with the notion of being whole and complete.
We’d rather wrestle with that challenge rather than dismiss its basis from the get-go.
So the next time you feel disrespected… Take a moment to look at what constraints your YOU and what it is being measured against, shaping your construct of self in that moment…
So long as you can’t see the limitation, you will be inviting disrespect.
Because the truth is, when you are complete and whole, which you are… There is nothing that can disrespect you.
And by no means does that suggest that you become immune to it, yet simply amused by its notion.
Until the next ❤️ beat ~.~.~
Nothing real can ever be hurt. It's the unreal - false sense of constructed self that we can clearly look at during such occasions. And then it crumbles. So such situations are very much welcome and a blessing in disguise :)
