When the response doesn’t match, you sit watching, not understanding, and conflicted about whether you should.
Everything is designed to lay the blame on you. To set the onus without any regard to whether there is a reason to witness this treason.
It might be unfair. It might be a slip without care. Yet, the reaction holds, petrified in a body and mind that is supposed to sync except when it doesn’t.
The system might not be broken. The connection might not be misaligned. And the problem, well, the problem might be a misunderstanding that understanding was a prerequisite in the first place.
