One day, nature was the enemy; today, it’s technology; tomorrow will be another enemy. What have we learned?
What we learned about nature:
~ The bountiful resource of our survival.
~ The presence made aware resonating with our being.
~ The blossoming of life, death, and an ecosystem so intricate we barely understand.
And yet…
We have abused it…
Drained it…
And divided it…
~ Out of abundance, we created strangulated bottlenecks of resources.
~ Out of infinite connectedness, we created isolated islands of individuality that we labeled, named, and planted flags.
~ Out of the kindness and harshness of its purity and authenticity, we declared superiority.
And in all of that, we reveled. Rejoiced. And became less for it.
When technology takes nature's place in our tunnel vision for an enemy, what do you think will happen?
The story repeats. The actors change. And the cycle of cruelty claims the day.
Nature won’t revolt. Technology won’t revolt. But we sure will find another enemy.
Until the next ❤️ beat ~.~.~
