If the people around you don’t understand you
— then what?

If the chatter you are listening to doesn’t participate in the echoes it hears
— then what?

If the space brings you no safety of its own to make itself useful
— then what?

“Then what” is the answer, not the question.

There is so much we don’t understand, can’t be a part of, and scare the heck out of us — and yet there is so much more on the flip side of all of that, so then what!
