The journey retrospectively
It always sounds and looks more dramatic or romantic than it was. The narrator shapes it based on those criteria rather than the reality of it.
And that’s not a judgment or a criticism, though it's the way it goes for a mind trained to keep you safe in every way possible.
The journey retrospectively always looks and feels different.
The pains linger harder.
The joys often shaved away.
The drama holding.
As a cautionary tale, it lingers. For the story is better. Easier to tell. And more engaging to yell.
Nothing wrong with that either. Once we stop taking it seriously either. The charade fades away as another tale coming to play.
And on the whimsy of the journey controlled by what has had it told, we rest in peace, watching from far away, looking for the tease and leaving in one piece.
Unbothered while engaged.
Untethered while embraced.
Untold the journey holds in true essence, never remembered or foretold.
The journey is. The story was. The narrator looks back and, in their eyes, sets the world to be a story told for a journey called a reality untold.
Until the next ❤️ beat ~.~.~
