Don’t you too?

Love your mornings, that is…
Sit in bed a little longer

Or jump to a cup of coffee little earlier
Or see the sunrise before the dew melts
Or stay in bed till the sun sets.

I love my mornings

They come with a clean slate
On most days, that is
But not nearly all for whatever this is

With a shy smile, they wake up to me
With a gentle touch, they crave to be
With a sweet look, they turn to see

Who has awoken free from the burden
Whose stillness no longer rests while resting
Whose fear grows no longer while groaning

As the machinery hadn’t booted yet
And the system is prone to forget
What had the night before met

I love my mornings

I hope you do too
For there is nothing more rejuvenating
Then a silent breath rising

To the sun fighting
To stay a little longer awake but not
To stay a little longer in that state of being, but not

To the mornings
We all may have in our afternoon
Till evenings

A wonder not afraid of the light
Nor wilting in the night

I love my mornings.
