BE. ANGRY.
The lie is that when anger hits, we can calm it down.
We can turn off everything so it doesn’t overwhelm us.
And in doing so we allow it to do exactly that.
When we leave no space for anger we deny ourselves the release that going out of it creates — the rush and the aftermath of the relaxation that truly is calm and serene.
And after a few run-ins of that, we realize how anger dissipates way faster than we expect it to not because we don’t get angry but because calm never left us in the first place.
Because true calm survives even when angry.
